Serves as a key resource in developing and supporting global marketing and sales strategies for current and future business opportunities for the product line. Develops strategic plans and moderate to long-term goals in support of business objectives. across all regions in support of new business development projects. Monitors, reviews and critiques progress of projects, etc. Coordinates product development work with customer’s groups such as Design, Engineering, Product Planning Group, Product Line Management, and other areas
Understand Global Customer & Market needs to define a robust Global strategy
Define a Global Foot Print strategy based on Customer, Technology Complexity and Competitive Upholds the principles of the Magna Employee’s Charter, Magna’s Operational Principles, Magna’s Environmental Health and Safety Policy & Procedures, MML Quality Policy, Program Execution Process and Business Protocols. Work with cross-functional organization to establish and facilitate maintenance of competitor assessments (both business and technical) and to take appropriate actions to penetrate into these market segments
Involvement in global, and sometimes regional, customer negotiations, including recommendation for pricing strategies
Oversee the management of project and product budgets, schedules, scope and issues including financial management and risk management
Monitor and report on global projects, providing status and performance against specified metrics to the Senior Leadership Team
Involvement in financial matters is on a level of providing data only and/or making recommendations.
No direct supervision of incumbents and/or work units/departments.
Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with Magna’s policies and applicable laws

Completed Business Management or Engineering studies (Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field)

Several years of working experience in Product Management for the automotive market mandatory
Excellent communication and negotiation skills and high customer orientation
Fluent in English
The majority of the job is performed in a standard office environment with minimal risk or harmful elements.
Occasional visits to manufacturing facilities
Travel Requirement up 30%
