Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

Globe 24-7 is partnering with a mining client in Ontario, Canada to hire an experienced Buyer.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, the Buyer is responsible for managing all aspects of the procurement and supply process. This includes purchase order management, daily requisition processing, contract administration, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services to support operational requirements.

Coordinate and process purchase orders for MRP and direct-charge requisitions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established terms and conditions.
Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), conduct bid evaluations, and provide recommendations based on commercial and technical analysis.
Expedite delivery schedules to meet operational requirements and prevent supply disruptions.
Arrange transportation and logistics for materials in accordance with contractual terms and applicable standards.
Evaluate and prioritize procurement requests to maintain continuous and efficient material supply.
Support supply chain leadership in executing procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
High school diploma with related post-secondary education or training in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related environment.
Professional designations such as SCMP, CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent are considered assets.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
