Guest Service - At Your Service Agent

Are you looking to transfer your front desk hotel experience to a luxury independent property? Hotel Grand Pacific is looking for an additional Guest Services Agent to join our team. Proudly affiliated with Preferred Hotels and Resorts, our large hotel is located on Victoria's beautiful inner harbour in the heart of the city's tourist zone.
The chosen candidate will use their friendly personality and exceptional attention to detail to help operate an efficient front desk.
Shift times will vary between mornings and evenings and will include weekends.
Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate through use of upselling techniques.
Collaborate effectively with other departments to assist hotel visitors in order to minimize inconveniences and ensure guest satisfaction.
Perform accurate billing procedures and cash-outs.
Support in-house operations by accurately completing daily reports.
Other duties as assigned by Front Office management.
At least 1 year of front desk or reservations experience in a full-service hotel
Post-secondary training in Hospitality Management an asset
Experience with Opera PMS software preferred
Takes initiative to maintain high standards of personal presentation at all times
Solid knowledge of Victoria and the surrounding area
Second language is an asset
