Food Service Workers - URGENT HIRING!!

Operate the industrial dishwasher
Follow sanitation policies at all times
Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
May be called upon to carry out deep cleaning projects such as cleaning ovens, walk in coolers and freezers.
Records dishwasher maintenance, temperature logs and cleaning schedules as required
Follows work practices to ensure the efficient delivery of food services as required
Cleans the kitchen and kitchen equipment
Assist with receiving and storage of supplies using FIFO method
Food Safe Level 1
Up to three months of prior related experience, including (up to three months of) institutional kitchen experience or equivalent.
Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed

The performance of the job requires a frequent amount of standing, manipulating foods and moderate amounts of lifting, cutting, chopping, carrying supplies and walking.
The incumbent’s work environment is typically in a kitchen in a ministry unit/social services facility. The job incumbent may be exposed to the risk of minor to moderate injury or illnesses due to:

Exposure to toxic chemicals
Electrical hazards
Burns, cuts and going into freezers
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when necessary
