Strathcona is always looking for people focused on growth both personal and professional. We are actively seeking a Drilling Engineer to join our Lloydminster Thermal team in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager Drilling Completions & Construction the successful candidate will be involved in the planning design and execution of our thermal projects. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the capital drilling program is delivered with operational excellence and disciplined risk management. Additionally you will support drilling operations by assisting the Drilling Superintendent with daily activities including reporting vendor performance analysis KPI monitoring and providing occasional on-call support.
Adherence to area Basis of Well Design while ensuring regulatory compliance
Daily monitoring of drilling performance and rig KPIs
Project reviews and lookbacks
Development planning through communication with asset teams to effectively design plan and budget projects.
Bachelors degree in Engineering and membership in good standing with APEGA or APEGS.
- 510 years of technical and operational drilling experience.
- Completions experience is an asset.
- Strong project management skills with a solid understanding of project development and delivery processes are advantageous.
