AECOM Buildings Places Architectural team is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Ottawa ON based team. AECOM Buildings Places Canada (BP Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture all the buildings engineering disciplines landscape architecture urban planning urban design economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Water facilities Industrial Transit and Government projects.

Under the supervision of an architect apply architectural concepts building code and zoning requirements to develop architectural design documents to the satisfaction of the client(s).

Utilize your knowledge of building technology assembly construction methodology to ensure technical excellence in all projects.

Produce detailed technical drawings to effectively communicate building designs to clients and contractors.

Produce architectural designs and drawings in REVIT.

Prepare and review working drawings ensuring compliance with all applicable codes including the Ontario Building Code.

Make sure REVIT and BIM requirements standards and quality are followed.

Develop photorealistic renderings animated walkthroughs and comprehensive 3D models is an asset.

Support project teams including architects engineers and other consultants on project coordination as required deliver comprehensive and cohesive project documentation.

Participate in contract administration and shop drawing review processes contributing to the alignment with project specifications and client expectations.

Maintain project documentation and organization of project files ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Stay current with industry trends and technical innovations incorporating new ideas models and technologies into projects.

Must have completed or will be completing their Bachelors degree in Architecture or Architectural Technologist Diploma/Certificate in Architectural Technology.

Ability to obtain security clearance.

Proficiency in Revit

Ability to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary in-house consultant team

Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing

Strong conceptual and technical design skills

Exceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the Ontario Building Code
