Come join the Leadership Team in the Sturgeon Community Hospital Emergency Department. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Unit Manager is responsible for the effective management of human, financial, and physical resources within the department. This front line leadership role provides daily operational and clinical oversight to support high quality, patient centered care in alignment with unit policies, procedures, and goals. The Unit Manager works closely with other front-line leaders, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure consistent standards and clear direction across the interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include monitoring and organizing workflow, supporting efficient patient care through staff scheduling and work assignments, and fostering a respectful, compassionate team culture through performance management and coaching. As part of the management team, the Unit Manager actively contributes to strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and the development and implementation of operational plans. The role also serves as a role model by integrating evidence based best practices into day to day operations. Success in this role requires advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong judgment and decision making ability, effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders, and proficiency in conflict resolution, change management, resource management, and written and verbal communication.

Required Qualifications:
