Are you a skilled engineering professional looking to make a meaningful impact on critical pipeline infrastructure In the Sr Mechanical Engineer role you will be responsible for the design and development of pipelines and related facilities for both expansion and maintenance capital projects. You will collaborate closely with thirdparty engineering firms to ensure all work meets Company and industry standards adheres to project budgets and schedules and reflects the highest levels of technical quality. You will also serve as a key liaison across Enbridge functional groupsincluding Projects Operations and Shared Servicesto ensure project requirements are clearly understood fully integrated and successfully delivered in all design documentation. Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role

Ensures that all pipelines and associated facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations applicable industry codes and corporate specifications and standards
Defines the scope schedule and budget for the design and materials for pipeline projects
Leads the execution of the design work by a third party engineering firm against the project budget and schedule
drawings technical reports and material listing sheets
Reviews vendor materials quotations prepares technical evaluations and recommends to the supervisor selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery. For example pipe valves and fittings.
Reviews and approves fabrication and assembly approval drawings for engineered equipment and other fabrications (prefabricated buildings piping fabrications pig trap barrels etc.)
Reviews lessons learned from past projects and incorporates recommendations into future designs
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers within the team
Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree
Capable of working independently managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks accordingly
Effectively communicates technical issues and impacts to other technical and non-technical staff

7 10 years of natural gas and liquid pipeline design experience for onshore transmission lines in Canada and the US

• Familiarity and knowledge of materials standards & specifications (CSA Z662 CSA Z245.Pressure test plan development and review/acceptance of test results
• Experience working with geotechnical and hydro-technical hazards projects
• Professional designations relevant to project management or industry (CAPM PMP MBA CWI NACE etc.) Approximately 80-90% of work is office based working with multiple project teams

Approximately 10-20% of time is in the field scoping projects or supporting construction and commissioning activities
Work requires strong computer skills typically using Microsoft Office applications
