Mechanical Stress Engineer

Join AP Dynamics, a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering firm based in Calgary, AB, as a Mechanical Stress Engineer. We are seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to contribute to our innovative projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dynamic analysis of skid-mounted equipment.
- Perform
- Conduct engineering acoustical and mechanical studies on compressor packages.
- Generate comprehensive technical reports, offering insightful recommendations to enhance designs and address issues effectively.
- Demonstrate exceptional client engagement, effective problem-solving, clear communication, passion, and outstanding technical knowledge both within the team and on-site.
- Apply industry
- Adhere to AP Dynamics' EH&S policies.
- Collaborate effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships, exceeding expectations.
- Work towards obtaining a P.Eng designation within 4 years and maintain engineer status with APEGA.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registration with APEGA as an EIT or Engineer.
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
- Previous experience with Oil & Gas facilities and rotating equipment.
- Experience in an Engineering Consulting firm is a significant asset.
- Ability to solve technical design challenges.
- Canadian citizenship or authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship.
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python and Excel VBA) is an asset.
- Knowledge of industry guidelines and standards related to
- Proficiency in standard Windows software.
- Experience in managing small projects with tight deadlines is considered an asset.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
