CHARGÉ de FINANCES et COMPTABILITÉ (audit et contrôle) H/F

Randstad is searching for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and collaborative entry-level accounting professional to join our Clients Finance team as a Junior Accountant, based out of their Mississauga office. This is a long term 18 month contract.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring CPA to build a strong foundational career in corporate accounting. Working closely with and supporting our Accounting Manager and General Accountant, you will play an active role in day-to-day accounting transactions, month-end close procedures, and data integrity. The successful candidate will bring a strong desire to learn, a process-improvement mindset, and a sharp eye for detail.

Assist the accounting team with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.

Account Reconciliations: Prepare routine balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and perform variance analysis as directed.

Provide backup and support across transactional accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.

Audit Preparation: Help compile documentation and support schedules for internal and external audit activities.

Internal Controls: Adhere to established internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain data accuracy.

Process Improvement: Actively participate in workflow optimization and lean accounting initiatives as the team undergoes exciting system updates.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of progressive accounting experience (co-op or internship experience is highly valued).

Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of basic accounting principles and US GAAP guidelines.
