Accounting Clerk / Assistant

Accounts Clerk (Part-Time)
Hours: 16–20 hours per week (school hours preferred)
Weekdays, flexible within school hours

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to support our financial and administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organized, focused work and is looking for consistent part-time hours during the school day. The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, payroll support, invoicing, and financial tracking across multiple entities.

Payroll & Banking
Assist with payroll processing, including timecards, deductions, and labour tracking
Ensure payroll is completed 3 business days before the 15th and month-end
Monitor bank accounts daily to ensure sufficient funds for auto-payments
Post monthly payroll taxes and allocate payroll funds appropriately
Update banking and vendor payment information as required
Accounts Payable & Financial Recording
Pay bills on time (credit cards, utilities, waste management, etc.)
Support monthly budget creation and tracking, including payroll forecasting
Assist with raise planning in April and September
Billing & Invoicing
Assist clients with billing and statement questions
Submit billing and payment reports to external agencies
Collections Support
Contact clients regarding past-due accounts
Liaise with collection agencies when required
Experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting software (preferred)
Comfortable communicating with clients via email and phone
Criminal record check required
Flexible part-time workload (16–20 hrs/week)
