Procurement and Logistics Director

The Logistics Manager will oversee all aspects of logistics and supply chain managementfor the construction project. This role involves planning coordinating and managing themovement of materials equipment and resources ensuring efficient resource allocationand maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Supervise and support the logistics team that includes Storage Equipment Securityand Site Facilities and the Bull Crew.
Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans for the construction siteincluding site setup and maintenance tree removals material delivery and wastemanagement strategies.
Plan internal and external logistics routes ensuring the safe and efficient movement ofvehicles machinery and resources.
Optimize the allocation of resources to meet project requirements and deadlines including general labour crews at various sites.
Ensure all logistics operations comply with safety regulations and standards andimplement safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.
Manage logistics budgets track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for the procurement and tracking ofmaterials equipment and services
Address and resolve any logistics-related issues or challenges that arise during theproject including incident management and inclement weather.
Prepare regular reports on logistics activities including progress updates budgetstatus and any issues or risks.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency andeffectiveness.
Dispatch labour crews to address incidents or perform site maintenance includingduring emergencies and winter season.
Manage and supervise the logistic team and promote a learning and growth culture.

Preferred Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or arelated field. Relevant experience as a Site Supervisor may offset educationalrequirements.
Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar role such as Construction Site Supervisor in large and complex construction project/industrial project/ logistic project.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of logistics operations resource management and supply chainprinciples.
A commitment to safety and quality with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
