Manufacturing Purchaser

• Industry: Specialized Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing
• Permanent, full-time (100% on-site)

Our client, an innovative leader in the specialized tracked vehicle sector, is looking for a Manufacturing Purchaser to join its rapidly expanding team in Mont-Royal. In a context of strong growth and technological transformation, you will play a pivotal role in structuring the parts and services department. Vacation: 3 weeks offered upon hiring

•Solid company with a rapidly expanding order book.

Sourcing & Procurement: Source and purchase complex components (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engines).

• Coordinate activities with local subcontractors for machining and welding.
• Technical Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings to ensure the accuracy of parts and component orders.
• Data Management: Lead the cleanup of current inventory data (Microsoft Access) in preparation for the transition to a new ERP.
• ERP Implementation: Actively participate in the deployment of the ERP inventory module scheduled within the next 6 months.
• Supplier Relations: Manage international supplier relationships, including warranty tracking and performance monitoring.
• R&D Collaboration: Work closely with R&D departments to support procurement for custom projects and new product models.

Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Manufacturing Purchaser or in a similar industrial role.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical principles and inventory management.
• Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (for communication with English-speaking suppliers); proficiency in Mandarin is a major asset for managing suppliers in Asia.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Soft Skills: "Intrapreneurial" mindset: ability to adapt to change and proactively propose process improvements.
