Full-Time GENERAL MANAGER
$20 - $25 per hourACE Athletic Centre
Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Ace Athletic Centre. The General Manager leads daily operations, staff, and programming while ensuring the facility remains safe, organized, and financially sustainable.
Facility Operations
Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and properly maintained
Enforce policies and safety procedures
Hire, train, and supervise front desk, program, and facility staff
Programs & Community Use
Work with local schools, clubs, and community groups to increase participation
Customer Experience
Respond to customer questions, feedback, and concerns
Promote a strong sense of community within the facility
Financial & Administrative
Assist with budgeting and expense monitoring
Prepare basic reports on participation and facility usage
Marketing & Outreach
Support local marketing efforts and promotions
Build relationships within the community to grow awareness and usage
Help develop new programs based on community needs
2–5 years of experience in facility management, recreation, or a similar role
- University or College degree in Business, Communications, Sport and Recreation Management or related field
- Experience working in community recreation or sports programs is an asset
- Evenings and weekends required based on programming
Active role with time spent both on the floor and in the office
Full time 37.5 hours per week
