With a strong presence in the Yukon, our Whitehorse office supports civil infrastructure, energy, and northern development projects with a focus on constructability, adaptability, and long-term performance in challenging environments.
We are growing our northern team and are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead (P.to support project delivery, mentor junior staff, and help drive business development in the region.
This role is ideal for an intermediate to senior engineer who is ready to take the next step into leadership. You will be responsible for technical oversight, team mentorship, and supporting the growth of CAP’s presence in the Yukon.
You will lead a small team of Engineers-in-Training (EITs), contribute to project execution, and play a key role in client relationships and business development.
Technical Leadership
Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil and/or infrastructure projects
Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and calculations
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback
Project Delivery
Manage multiple projects concurrently, including scope, schedule, and budget
Support QA/QC processes and ensure high-quality deliverables
Participate in site visits and field reviews as required
Represent CAP in meetings, networking events, and with local stakeholders
8+ years of relevant engineering experience (civil/infrastructure preferred)

• Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring junior staff
• Strong understanding of northern design challenges (permafrost, remote logistics, etc.) is an asset
• Experience with business development, client management, or proposal writing is considered an asset
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
