Site Assistant Single Family Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Site Assistant Single Family to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper materials and quantities of materials are onsite prior to daily work commencing;
- Plan, implement and monitor construction plans alongside the Site Supervisor;
- Suggest ideas for cost effective alternative measures to improve financial performance on projects;
- Aid in the coordination and direction of all construction workers on worksites;
- Aid in the management of construction site startup;
- Ensure accurate and timely project close date; help to adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met;
- Help the Site Supervisor with jobsite administration duties such as timesheet completion for works and any daily logs that need to be maintained;
- Any other duties as required;
- Ensure proper manpower levels are available onsite each day to ensure constructional completion;
- Work alongside the Site Supervisor to resolve any constructional issues that may arise;
- Ensure inspections are completed periodically throughout the construction phases to ensure homes meet specifications of clients;
- Aid in the supervision of workers onsite;
- Aid in overseeing residential construction sites to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations and safety codes;
- Ensure that safe work practices and procedures are being followed onsite at all times;
- Participate in project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and report on progression of building.
Requirements:
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans;
- Understanding fundamentals of contracts and experience working with contractors;
- Post-secondary degree in a construction related area of study;
- Strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace;
- Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities;
- Previous experience overseeing construction worksites would be considered an asset;
- Strong communication, integration, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
- Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience working in residential construction;
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related residential building codes;
- Results-oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines;
- Ability to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional, and upper management;
- A solid understanding of all residential construction trades and construction techniques;
- Possess a valid driver’s license;
- Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
