Our company is looking for a Distribution Centre Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Local Quality Manager, drive QSHE implementation and compliance;
  • Full accountability for the performance of direct reports;
  • Support employee engagement/retention initiatives, succession planning, and internal promotions within the DC;
  • Plan long range labour requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports;
  • Participate in new business implementation project management;
  • Lead / participate in customer negotiations;
  • Promote a culture of safety to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken for the protection of workers;
  • Ensure proactive approach to relationship management;
  • Ensure billing / invoicing accuracy;
  • Participate in bids, tenders and RFPs;
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to ensure efficient, standardized and ‘best in class’ logistics operations;
  • Support local implementation of KNPS Bronze, Silver and Gold (company production systems) certifications;
  • Set SMART goals and projects to achieve individual, distribution centre, and divisional results;
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the development and execution of the company’s strategy;
  • Promote integration of CL and road/rail activities where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills;
  • Prepare and interpret operational financial reports;
  • Proven proficiency in an automated warehouse environment;
  • In-depth understanding of company operations, sales environment, and cost structures;
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical distribution centre is considered an asset;
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical distribution center is considered an asset.
