Health and Fitness Programs Supervisor Aquatics Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Health and Fitness Programs Supervisor Aquatics to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership to all Aquatics areas, including the YMCA Swim Program and Junior Lifeguard Program. Provides quality service to members;
- Conducts audits to ensure compliance with YMCA standards;
- Gives leadership to AED, First Aid and CPR, including training staff, volunteers and participants;
- Supports the staff team in the role of Service Leader, always representing the North York YMCA Centre and the Association in a professional manner;
- Acts as the Pool Operator as outlined in the Ontario Health Regulations 565;
- Monitors the safety of all activities and programs and responds immediately to rectify any safety concerns.
Requirements:
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certifications;
- Aquatic Supervisory Training an Asset;
- National Lifeguarding Service Award;
- Degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation Leadership or related field preferred;
- YMCA Swim Instructors Certification an Asset;
- Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, evenings and weekends;
- Instructor / Examiner qualifications an Asset;
- Recommended minimum 2 years instructing and supervisory experience;
- Other Recognized Swim Instructor Qualification (Red Cross, LSS);
- Excellent written communication skills.
