Our company is looking for a Server Operations Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute routine maintenance tasks both during and after hours;
  • Assist in long-term strategic planning to ensure server capacity meets current and future requirements;
  • Implement automation tools & frameworks to streamline routine maintenance;
  • Collaborate with team members to improve engineering tools and dashboards to better monitor the company’s computing architecture;
  • Provide recommendations on changes and design enhancements to improve reliability, security, and processes;
  • Troubleshoot production issues with a sense of urgency and coordinate with the development/engineering teams to implement fixes;
  • Conduct proactive monitoring of all servers using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and superior SLA’s;
  • Conduct post-incident reviews & identify areas for long term reliability & scalability improvements;
  • Ensure the appropriate level of documentation to support operations;
  • Participate in the after hours on-call rotation;
  • Conduct system tests for security, performance and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing, dynamic environment;
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Software Engineering or other related discipline;
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Must be willing to work flexible working hours and participate in on-call rotation;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills – systematic problem-solving approach;
  • Experience with Powershell or Python, SQL, and Linux based systems.
