Our company is looking for a labourer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment;
- May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities;
- Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site;
- Job may require moderate to heavy lifting;
- Under direct supervision, assigned daily work;
- Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities;
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management;
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials;
- Able to solve problem and work with a team;
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks manually;
- Travel out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management;
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, compact tractor, miter saw, table saw and other tools;
- Any other related duties;
- Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing using forklift or other powered equipment;
- Perform additional duties and assignments as required.
Requirements:
- You have worked on an industrial construction site before with minimum 2+ years of experience;
- You will be required to complete a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol test;
- Self-starter who leads by example and readily assumes responsibility for results;
- Strong work ethic, high standards, and a sense of personal accountability and ownership;
- Be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others;
- Those from Alberta and Western Canada will be given preference;
- Good team player and takes direction well;
- Manual lifting is a requirement;
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner;
- Punctual, reliable, dependable and self-motivated;
- Dedicated to meeting and exceeding Century Grange objectives as well as fulfilling personal and career-related goals;
- Strong communication skills;
- This position is a camp based project work in Fort McMurray on a 14 days on / 7 days off rotation with travel allowance.
