Our company is looking for a labourer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment;
  • May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities;
  • Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site;
  • Job may require moderate to heavy lifting;
  • Under direct supervision, assigned daily work;
  • Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities;
  • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management;
  • Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials;
  • Able to solve problem and work with a team;
  • Load and unload construction supplies from trucks manually;
  • Travel out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management;
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, compact tractor, miter saw, table saw and other tools;
  • Any other related duties;
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing using forklift or other powered equipment;
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • You have worked on an industrial construction site before with minimum 2+ years of experience;
  • You will be required to complete a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol test;
  • Self-starter who leads by example and readily assumes responsibility for results;
  • Strong work ethic, high standards, and a sense of personal accountability and ownership;
  • Be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others;
  • Those from Alberta and Western Canada will be given preference;
  • Good team player and takes direction well;
  • Manual lifting is a requirement;
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner;
  • Punctual, reliable, dependable and self-motivated;
  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding Century Grange objectives as well as fulfilling personal and career-related goals;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • This position is a camp based project work in Fort McMurray on a 14 days on / 7 days off rotation with travel allowance.
