Our company is looking for a General Labourer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Use of hand and power tools;
- Be able to identify hazards on site and respond appropriately;
- Maintains good working relationships;
- Other duties as required;
- Directing the safe, effective and organized setup and removal of all equipment;
- Pick up litter, general cleanup and maintain landscape environment;
- Other general labour duties will apply;
- Cleaning and preparing job site;
- Work with repetition where once set-up, a system can be followed to maximize production speed;
- Prepare paint items as necessary;
- Maintain high standards of security, health and safety processes at all times to avoid accidents or injuries;
- Water Lawns;
- Thaw lines;
- Load and unload construction material on job sites;
- Ensure smooth flow of process throughout sawmill from debarker entry decks to strapper.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license;
- Punctuality;
- Able to follow instructions;
- First aid an asset;
- Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license would be considered an asset;
- Can start working immediately;
- Sign manufacturing experience an asset;
- Minimum Grade 12/GED;
- Forklift certification an asset;
- Safety shoes is a MUST;
- 2+ years working experience preferred;
- Must have a valid “G” licence;
- Reliable;
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience with basic machinery.
