Our company is looking for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish fit-for-purpose standards, systems and strategies to optimise the management of mechanical plant and equipment;
  • In consultation with the Director of Maintenance, manage the decommissioning of equipment and equipment records;
  • Assist with specification and scoping of equipment overhauls;
  • Manage and develop tools to assist the Maintenance Director with the yearly OPEX and CAPEX budget;
  • Prepare maintenance plans and organise the supply and availability of spare parts;
  • Foster collaborative relationships with team members, ensuring that CCR’s culture and values are promoted in all interactions;
  • Prepare detailed electrical designs / specifications and scopes of work;
  • Ensure all projects and activities are in line with site policies and with the BC Mines Act.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering;
  • A high level of planning and problem-solving ability;
  • Outstanding collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships within a group of diverse individuals;
  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to liaise with all levels of the operation;
  • An understanding of key safety risks and ways to mitigate these;
  • Knowledge of relevant mining legislation;
  • Knowledge of American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and guidelines;

  • Eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. (APEGBC). P.Eng Preferred;
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record;
  • Two or more years of experience in a process plant facility;
  • The capability to determine potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions, as well as having a strong sense of accountability;
  • In depth knowledge of Mobile Equipment;
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to a team of professionals to deliver against set targets.
