Accountant (Reporting) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Accountant (Reporting) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the coordination of external auditor requests;
- Perform certain monthly calculations and balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts;
- Participate in special projects as needed;
- Assist in the preparation of variance analysis comparing actual results to plan and forecast for specific departments;
- Perform month-end P&L analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness and reasonability for supported departments;
- Assist with accounting research for significant transactions or changes in accounting guidance;
- Assist with preparation of various Statistics Canada surveys;
- Work with the different lines of business and teams to review significant account variances and obtain explanations;
- Prepare and review of various legal entity financial statements including notes;
- Prepare and record certain month-end journal entries for supported departments;
- Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements including supporting information for notes;
- Generate P&L’s for supported departments and prepare business commentary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years’ progressive experience in corporate accounting.
