Our company is looking for a Architectural Designer – Technical to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism within own discipline and sector; leads by example;
- Evaluates site conditions, including zoning requirements and site constraints; may meet with authorities having jurisdiction to establish requirements;
- Follows safety requirements when in the field;
- Works effectively in a team by supporting other team members;
- Maintains effective dialogue with regulatory bodies and standards organizations;
- Coordinate with contractor, sub-consultants or relevant building authorities to address and document issues with constructability or owner concerns;
- Attends meetings to coordinate drawings and resources, determine project criteria and provide information;
- May act as concept designer on smaller projects;
- Strategic Development;
- Leadership;
- Client Management;
- Completes administrative paperwork such as timesheets, time off requests, expenses, etc;
- Attends client meetings and makes client presentations;
- Complies with accepted project management methodology; documents and manages scope, work effort, budget, cost controls, schedules, etc;
- Business development.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical and Structural permits and building codes is required;
- Experience with complex renovations, decanting & enabling works, phased construction and infrastructure renewal projects are an asset;
- Membership with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset;
- Possess superior leadership, time management and problem solving skills;
- Strong proficiency in Architectural software skills (i.e. Revit and CAD);
- Prior experience in project management and project delivery is required;
- Have successfully completed related post-secondary education;
- Demonstrate creativity in design;
- Have between 5-7 years of project work experience in Healthcare sector; prior experience in all phases of the project cycle is required.
