Performance Marketing Department Director

Lead performance marketing strategy at Blacksmith Agency, owning PPC, SEO, budget direction, and remote team management across three regions.
As Director of Performance Marketing, you lead the department while PPC and SEO strategists own channel execution. This management seat covers multifamily, B2B, and technical clients. You set standards, oversee development, and hold the function accountable for delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PPC and SEO strategists across the department
- Set quality standards for audits, reporting, and deliverables
- Own client results, attribution, and GA4 reporting accuracy
- Diagnose account risks and direct corrective strategy
- Guide channel strategy, budgets, sales commitments, and hiring
Requirements:
- Seven or more years across paid media and SEO
- Experience managing strategist reviews, development, and performance
- Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta, and Microsoft Ads
- Experience turning around an account using your diagnosis
- Agency experience managing many accounts concurrently
Own department performance, client escalations, and channel strategy through experienced leadership of PPC and SEO specialists.
