Bar? We're on the hunt for a dynamic Service Manager to join our Calgary team and become a true brand ambassador. Working closely with our General Manager and Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable experience that embodies the vibrant spirit of Aussie Rules.

We are seeking a motivated individual eager to elevate Aussie Rules to greatness. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service from bookings to farewell, fostering guest relationships, and surpassing expectations. You will set the stage for success by nurturing, coaching, and supporting all staff. By being attuned to every facet of the venue and its immediate requirements, you'll use foresight and critical thinking to preemptively overcome challenges.

time they walk through our doors.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Guest Engagement: Connect with guests to deliver that “wow” experience, ensuring they leave with a smile and a story. Proactively call all future group bookings, introduce yourself, confirm details, explore upsell opportunities, and thank them for their patronage.

• An Exceptional Host: Establish yourself as each guest's point of contact, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing guest concerns promptly.

• Reservations & Inquiries: Answer general phone and email inquiries, book reservations, and provide information about our venue and shows.

• Event Coordination: Organize private events (fundraisers, holiday parties, work functions, etc.), help organizers choose optimal dates, finalize event details, and maintain communication between guests and our chef.

• Timeline Management: Ensure all functions run on a detailed timeline and are executed accurately.

• Staff Leadership: Support and mentor your team, manage staff schedules, receive and accommodate time-off requests, and communicate clearly about upcoming events.

• Training & Coaching: Hire and Train new employees, manage staff reviews and expectations, and conduct staff meetings.

• Financial Management: Organize and maintain cash floats, document transactions, and oversee cash out procedures.

• Operational Coordination: Attend weekly management meetings, report on labor and budget issues, and ensure smooth coordination across all departments.

The right candidate will demonstrate on their resume:

· Previous experience as a supervisor within a fast-paced service-based environment.

· Ambition and drive to create the best possible experience for guests and team members.

· Impeccable attention to detail and ability to take control of the venue, ensuring all guest experiences run smoothly between back and front of house.

· Able to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

A few other elements we're looking for:

· Flexibility to work every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and during private events.

· POS programming and navigation experience; knowledge of Eigen, Squirrel, and Fare Harbor booking programs is an asset.

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
