Nanny Wanted - Seeking A Loving And Energetic Nanny For Two Great Kids!

We are a young family in SW Calgary looking for a full or part-time nanny for our two children (ages 6 and 4) to start this spring/summer! :) We are looking for someone who has great interaction with our children and who is willing to provide a stimulating and fun environment for them. We live in a great neighbourhood, close to transit, with many amenities and activities. We would love to find someone who can stay with us long-term term (i.e. minimum 1-2 years, or longer). Key responsibilities of the job:

• care of two children;
• activities and learning suitable to preschool/elementary aged children (indoors and outdoors);
• taking the children to and from classes and/or any applicable activities;
• meal prep for the children and light supper prep for family;
• laundry for the children; and
• light housekeeping.

Qualifications required:

• Minimum 3 years previous nanny/caregiver experience;
• Non-smoker;
• CPR and First Aid training (or willingness to obtain);
• Drivers license with a good driving record (having your own vehicle is an asset);
• Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search (must be completed within 90 days of being offered the position); and
• Minimum 3-5 references.

In addition, an understanding of positive discipline/parenting and the need to establish a strong connection/attachment with young children is a must. Accordingly, Early Childhood Education degree (or similar child development education/courses) is definitely an asset (but not required). Hours of Work & Salary:

• Monday to Friday, ~11:30 to ~5:30pm (exact hours TBD), equivalent to approx. 30hours per week
• Salary: Rate negotiable ($18-25 per hour, depending on experience)
• Compensation also includes 2 weeks paid vacation and 3 paid sick days annually (as needed)
