Mainframe Developer – COBOL, DB2, z/OS & Mainframe Application Development
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid – 4 Days Work From Office
Experience Required: 8–10 Years
Role Description
• Translate business needs into technical requirements
• Perform required tasks to ensure technical availability
• Assist in interpreting operational results
• Analyze usage patterns and establish schedules and procedures for maximum system utilization
• Maintain reports and reporting tools for traffic management, service centers, and enterprise partners
• Interact with other organizations to develop solutions supporting business objectives
• Analyze, define, and document requirements for:
• Data
• Workflow
• Logical processes
• Hardware and operating system environments
• Interfaces with other systems
• Internal and external checks
• Controls and outputs
• Provide cost and time estimates for assigned work packages to support development timelines and project plans
• Coordinate coding, testing, implementation, integration, and documentation of solutions
• Act as a technical solution provider and subject matter expert for solutions impacting dependent projects and applications
Required Skills
• Strong Mainframe expertise with 10+ years of hands-on experience
• 5+ years of Mainframe application support experience
