Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller – 18 Month Contract Responsibilities Lead the consolidation and review of monthly and quarterly financial results under IFRS. Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and external reporting disclosures. Analyze financial results, variances, cash flows, and complex accounting matters to support accurate reporting. Research and apply IFRS guidance for new and complex transactions. Partner with cross-functional teams and business units to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Coordinate quarterly reporting, support external audits, and maintain effective internal controls. Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and finance system initiatives. Mentor junior team members and promote continuous improvement. Qualifications CPA designation required. Strong IFRS and public company financial reporting experience. Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and MD&A. Knowledge of SOX/internal controls and external audit processes. SAP or other major ERP experience preferred. Mining or other multi-entity industry experience is an asset. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
