We're seeking a highly experienced Electronics Production Manager to lead our electronics manufacturing and transducer assembly teams in achieving world-class output, quality, and operational efficiency.

The Electronics Production Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the day-to-day operations of PCB assembly and transducer production. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment with a focus on the following key areas:

Production & Operations Management

• Plan, schedule, and oversee end-to-end electronics production including SMT, selective soldering, hand assembly, testing, and final product build
• Optimize floor layout and material flow to support volume, mix, and schedule variability
• Ensure daily production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met or exceeded
• Drive utilization across all critical equipment (SMT, reflow, AOI, SPI, etc.)

People & Team Leadership

• Lead a cross-functional team including lead hands, operators, technicians, and assemblers
• Conduct regular team briefings, coaching, and individual performance management
• Develop a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning
• Collaborate with HR on hiring, training, and workforce planning to support scalability

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Own the budget for parts production, including labor, equipment, and materials
• Forecast and manage operational expenses, capex planning, and resource allocation
• Identify cost savings opportunities through waste elimination, process refinement, and supplier collaboration

Inventory & Materials Management

• Work closely with ERP team to maintain optimal inventory levels (minimize stockouts and overages)
• Manage component usage tracking, excess/rework analysis, and cycle counting
• Ensure BOM accuracy, lot traceability, and part integrity throughout the production lifecycle

Quality & Compliance

• Partner with QA to drive proactive quality control, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for all procedures, inspections, and processes
• Ensure compliance with ESD, IPC standards, and health & safety regulations

Process Improvement & Automation

• Continuously assess production processes for bottlenecks and inefficiencies
• Champion automation initiatives—both mechanical and process-based
• Implement Lean, 5S, TQM, and other manufacturing best practices
• Collaborate on the development of palletized product assembly workflows

Product Development Support

• Interface with R&D and Engineering to support NPI, prototyping, and DFM feedback loops
• Translate new designs into scalable, repeatable manufacturing procedures

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in SMT processes, through-hole soldering, staking, and conformal coating.
• Proven experience in budgeting, cost management, and inventory control.
• Expertise in Discrete Manufacturing—BOMs, routings, quality workflows, packaging.
• Experience building full electronics assemblies (chassis, connectors, labeling, testing).
• Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., M1, Epicor, SAP, NetSuite).

Preferred

• Familiarity with palletized assembly, automation systems, and test fixture development.
• Prior experience in the pro-audio or high-end electronics industry.
