We are seeking a very creative Power Electronics Engineer with extensive experience to join a team of talented engineers in the continued development of cutting edge products. We design and manufacture Switched Mode Power Supplies (500W - 5kW) and multi channel Class D products to more than 20kW, as well as network components.
Adamson Systems Engineering is a multi-technology vertically integrated manufacturer . Our brand new $2.4m PCB production line includes state-of-the-art SMT, as well as top of the line selective soldering and AOI. We produce the best possible Power PCBs you can imagine - in house.
Technology Leadership in our field has been achieved by combining the best power electronics with full vertical integration of all other components of the product, from CNC laser/punch/forming capacities to the powder coating and finishing. Control of total product design is essential.

The successful candidate will have the following proven experience and understanding :
- Switched Mode Power Supplies (0.5 - 5kW) - DC/DC converters
- Specification development
- Schematic development
- Circuit simulation (Spice) PCB simulation
- Power PCB board layout
- HV and grounding rules
- Bringing up PCB Power boards
- Power Factor Correction
- Gate drive topology
- PWM
- Magnetics - SMPS transformers - Power Inductors - Chokes
Beneficial experience that will give the applicant a distinct advantage will include:
- Class-D power amplifiers
- Safety standards
- EMI/EMC Compliance
- Experience with RF test equipment
- Proficiency with Altium Designer
Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree - Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Design for Manufacture
- Skilled with required lab test equipment
- Prototyping/board bring-up
- 7+ years of relevant experience
