Marketing Coordinator (Summer Student)

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager , the successful candidate will have a passion for the environment and expertise in marketing .

While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management

• Assist in creating social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
• Schedule and monitor content across various platforms.

Market Research

• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience demographics.
• Compile data to assist in developing marketing strategies.

Campaign Support

• Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns.
• Track and report on campaign performance metrics.

Event Coordination

• Help organize promotional events, webinars, or trade shows.
• Support logistics, including registration, materials preparation, and follow-up communication.

Social Media Management

• Monitor and engage with followers on social media platforms.
• Analyze performance metrics like reach, engagement, and clicks.

Administrative Support

• Maintain marketing databases and CRM tools.
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, or internal teams as needed.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Understanding of digital marketing, branding, and social media strategies.
• Familiarity with concepts like SEO, SEM, and market research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
• Ability to interpret marketing metrics and data.
• Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfort in creating and presenting reports or marketing content.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Interest in trends, branding, and consumer behavior.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team.

Experience (Optional but Beneficial)

• Previous internships, volunteer work, or projects related to marketing.
• Experience with online platforms (WordPress, Email marketing tools, Adwords)
