International Pathways Coordinator

The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager International Recruitment, the incumbent provides support and carries out strategic directions established by the Team Lead, Administrative Operations, the International Centre IC) Associate Registrar International, and IC Director. The IC International Pathways Coordinator is an all-in-one solution that utilizes a holistic approach to build relationships, support and enable the IC to coordinate and formalize international pathway agreements. We seek an experienced International Pathways Coordinator to coordinate the development of international pathways and institutional agreements to support strategic planning, internationalization and global collaboration opportunities. This role will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to strengthen global engagement and strategic pathway development. Additionally, this role will act and collaborate as a liaison and resource for faculty and staff to engage and further international pathway collaborations. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic enrollment planning for SAIT international pathway initiatives. Duties include developing international pathways through collaboration with college leaders and business partners. This position works collaboratively with other offices on campus, specifically the Office of the Registrar, to provide seamless pathway services.

The Role

• International Pathways Collaboration
• Coordinates activities related to the stewardship and development of international collaborations, and subsequent approval, evaluation and monitoring of international institutional pathways
• Supports the development of international pathway/relationship strategies and plan and identify partners relevant to program goals
• Evaluates current partnerships and makes recommendations to terminate them if they are not active or achieving the expected outcomes
• Maintains ongoing international relationships and sustainability of international agreements, including renewals
• Collaborates with the Office of the Registrar on situations related to external block transfer between international schools and programs
• Collaborates with the Office of the Registrar in the development of an international block transfer assessment framework
• Identifies and engages with opportunities for new international pathways and international block transfer agreements
• Works with faculties and the Office of the Registrar to create and develop a best-in-class transfer and international pathway system
• Works closely with the Office of the Registrar's Pathways, Transfer and Articulation Coordinator to ensure alignment in execution regarding international pathways and Prior Learning Recognition (PLAR)
Supports the development pathways and maintain relationships with international postsecondary institutions and other agencies
• International Enrollment Growth
• Coordinating international institutional pathways to increase international enrollments
• Strategically aligning our pathway agreements with the institutional goals for international enrollment growth
• Collaborate with the Office of the Registrar as a liaison's with international partner institutions to establish, maintain, and foster international educational agreements
• Builds relationships across campus to facilitate international block transfer, Prior Learning Recognition (PLAR) and pathway agreements
Contributes to the success of all international pathway projects at SAIT, including block transfer
• Operational Excellence
• Maintains an active list of international pathways and standardizes all pathway communications to students and staff
• Collects and analyzes international metrics related to international pathway options to demonstrate value-add and return on investment
• Evaluates and monitors the success of international pathway agreements.
• Documents and compiles statistics on incoming and outgoing transfer agreements
• Ensures agreements are implemented appropriately and sustainably.
• Builds relationships with Study Abroad, the Office of the Registrar and other critical internal stakeholders to compile valuable partnership data
• Builds the internal and external knowledge around international transfer by educating the campus community and maintaining good information on the SAIT website
On a quarterly basis, produce reports on pathway partnerships and enrolment forecasts and actuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in building partnerships internationally
• In-depth knowledge of international partnerships/transfer/pathways in a post-secondary setting
• Fundamental understanding of Prior Learning Recognition (PLAR)
• Understand the importance of the integrity of the student record
• Capable of developing and implementing policy in practice
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret policy documents
• Collaborative and able to build relationships with external stakeholders
• Analytical and ensures best practices are being followed
• Second language is considered an asset
