Assistant Director of Finance at Luxury Resort

Drive financial success at Fairmont Chateau Whistler as the Assistant Director of Finance. This full-time, permanent role allows you to lead finance operations in an award-winning luxury resort. As Assistant Director of Finance, you will spearhead all finance responsibilities across the hotel. The role involves collaboration with operational leaders and emphasizes strategic decision-making, oversight of financial compliance, and the development of finance professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily finance department operations and mentor staff
- Prepare and deliver month-end financial reports
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and policies
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
- Conduct analysis to improve profitability margins
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance; CPA desirable
- 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong analytical and technical accounting capabilities
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
