Position: DB2 DBA
Location: Toronto ON
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems with a strong focus on DB2 and MySQL environments
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and efficiency
- Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all database platforms
- Monitor database health, conduct capacity planning, and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to support deployments and database design
- Implement and enforce database standards, governance, and best practices
- Automate routine database tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency
- Provide production support, incident management, and root cause analysis for database-related issues
- (Nice to have) Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and experience managing databases in cloud environments
