Senior API Platform Software Developer

Build MaintainX’s public REST APIs remotely across Canada, applying TypeScript and scalable backend engineering to improve developer experience.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will shape API platform standards, batch operations, and integration foundations. Your work spans REST, GraphQL, relational databases, and distributed systems. You will help enterprise customers synchronize data and connect business systems through reliable platform components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate public-facing REST APIs
- Implement authentication, versioning, pagination, and compatibility standards
- Develop batch operations for synchronization and migrations
- Create scaffolding, templates, and shared integration libraries
- Own monitoring, incidents, and reliability improvements
Requirements:
- Four-plus years building backend systems, APIs, or platforms
- Service-oriented development using TypeScript, Go, or C#
- Relational database experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of reliability, scalability, consistency, and failure modes
- Experience with production APIs, testing, and CI/CD
