Supply Chain Manager

Role Purpose

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for building, optimizing, and leading end-to-end supply chain operations to support business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

This role translates sales forecasts into actionable purchasing and production plans, drives alignment across functions, and ensures inventory, supply, and production strategies are executed with precision. The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in connecting strategy to execution, ensuring the organization can scale effectively while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Location: Strathroy, Ontario

Reports to: General Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Translate sales forecasts into actionable purchasing and production plans, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and production
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, including make vs. buy decisions
• Lead supply and demand planning processes while optimizing inventory levels and overall material flow
• Design, implement, and continuously improve supply chain processes, systems, and inventory structures to support scalability
• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (SQDC: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost), driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and implement solutions that deliver measurable results
• Partner cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure alignment and effective execution
• Develop and manage supplier relationships to improve performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness
• Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain and production control team, building capability and driving accountability
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the function
• Manage the supply chain budget and lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Manufacturing, or related field
• 3+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or production planning
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management tools
• Proven ability to translate forecasts into actionable supply and production plans
• Demonstrated success driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Experience leading or developing team members
• Knowledge of supplier relationship management and vendor performance optimization
• Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Professional certifications (APICS, SCOR, etc.) considered an asset
• Experience managing budgets and cost reduction initiatives
