Position Title: Elora House Case Management Coordinator

Organization Overview: Elora House provides short-term housing and holistic support to women who have been exploited by sex trafficking. Our mission is to help each woman regain autonomy and make healthy, informed decisions for her life. We offer safe housing, meet the emotional and physical needs of those in crisis, and provide access to education, life skills training, advocacy, and wrap-around support services.

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and trauma-informed individual to join our team as the Case Management Coordinator . This role provides front-line support to residents of Elora House, with a focus on case management, crisis intervention, and program facilitation. The successful candidate will work from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist lens and be committed to fostering an environment of dignity, respect, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Support & Case Management:

  • Provide trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and daily emotional support to residents.
  • Lead and coordinate case management efforts for each resident, including therapeutic, medical, legal, financial, and educational needs.
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure comprehensive wrap-around support.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Residential Program Manager to ensure smooth facilitation of case plans.

Program Coordination & Staff Support:

  • Assist in the facilitation of new resident intakes.
  • Help train new staff by providing guidance and allowing them to shadow senior advocates.
  • Understand and implement Elora House policies for Stage 1, 2 and 3, including specific phases, and support residents in following them.
  • Provide direction and clarification to residents as needed.
  • Keeping the schedule up to date and organized for residents
  • Ensure programming is being completed and DBL's are being monitored

On-Call and Availability Expectations:

  • Participate in on-call responsibilities one day per week , providing support and answering questions for a 24-hour period. This is a regular part of your role as a manager. ( we will pay you your lunch breaks which is 2 ½ hours a week to compensate for being available for on-call once a week) If you need to go into the home you will be paid those extra hours.
  • Be accessible to the Residential Program Director outside of work hours when reasonably needed for emergencies or urgent communication.
  • Take an on-call shift at least one weekend day per month . Other workdays are scheduled between Monday- Friday.
  • Breaks include a 30-minute paid lunch and 1 15-minute break per 8 hour shift , taken when another staff member is available to provide coverage

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in technology platforms (e.g., Zoom, Apricot).
  • Effective de-escalation and crisis management skills.
  • Initiative-taker and collaborative team player.
  • Solid understanding of trauma and trauma-informed care.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Analyze case information to identify trends, issues, or areas requiring attention.
  • Provide administrative support by drafting legal documents and correspondence as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on case status.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for effective case management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal guidelines.
  • Prepare reports summarizing case progress and outcomes for internal review.

Experience

  • Proven experience in an administrative role with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess case details and develop actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with file management systems and legal terminology is preferred but not mandatory.
