­Asset Management Systems Specialist (Corporate)

­ Key Responsibilities:

• Working collaboratively across the organization, the incumbent will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain and Information Systems to support and improve business system integration and asset management performance;
• Exercises independence in determining priorities, conducting analysis, and recommending solutions. Guidance is provided on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities, while day-to-day responsibilities are managed with a high degree of autonomy;
• Work closely with team members to monitor the asset information management system to ensure asset management system compliance;
• Support the communication and change management process implemented as a part of efforts to improve organizational asset management culture;
• Work directly with IS to identify and support the delivery of technology enhancements implemented to improve performance of our assets and associated decision-making processes;
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of asset management and maintenance management processes and best practices;
• Assist with the development and improvement of maintenance management systems, standards, procedures, and reporting tools;
• Utilize JD Edwards and related business systems to support maintenance management, asset information, and reporting activities;
• Perform other related duties as required.

What We're Looking For:

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills;
• Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work independently in an environment requiring sound judgment and decision-making;
• Positive attitude with a collaborative approach and a commitment to teamwork;
• A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of power system reliability and utility asset management.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in utility operations, reliability engineering, asset management, or related experience.
• Experience with change management and supporting cultural changes at the organizational level would be an asset.
• Experience with JDEdwards or similar enterprise asset/work management systems is considered an asset.
• Experience operating under a business system compliant or registered under an ISO standard (eg, AM, Risk, QA) of practice would be considered an asset.
• Experience implementing maintenance or asset management best practices would be considered an asset.
