Principal Consultant, Forge Secure AI

The role. Lead the first cohort of Forge Secure AI (FSAI) engagements end-to-end. Codify the methodology. Hire the second wave. Stand up the Forward-Deployed Engineer (FFDE) practice for active remediation. Founding IC role with direct CEO reporting. Path to VP Forge is open and earned. The senior IC track is equally valid. Neither is assigned.

About iTmethods. A 21-year-old Toronto-based platform firm running mission-critical regulated environments for banks, capital markets firms, life sciences companies, and semiconductor manufacturers across North America and Europe. Two products. Reign governs AI in regulated environments through a four-component spine (AI Gateway, Model Risk Validation, Audit Ledger (CAVR), Assurance Packs). Forge runs the governed infrastructure underneath. FSAI is the flagship Forge engagement, delivered as Assess, Harden, Sustain.

The strategic moment. Two converging cycles drive demand. One regulatory (SR 11-7, OSFI E-23, EU AI Act under the May 2026 provisional timeline, FINOS AIGF v2.0, FDA PCCP, DORA, ISO 42001). One operational (agentic AI forcing a structural rebuild of enterprise stacks, boards mandating sovereign data, compute, model, and agent runtime control). Regulated enterprises need an operator who can take them from shadow AI to attested AI on a defined timeline.

What you own.

• FSAI engagements end-to-end, plus the FFDE Sprint cadence for active-remediation customers
• The methodology and IP that scales the practice beyond the first cohort
• The second wave of hires and their mentorship
• Pipeline inside the Forge installed base and named-account targets
• Co-sell with global advisory partners alongside Forge leadership

What you bring.

• 10+ years total, 5+ at staff or principal level at a frontier AI lab, Big-4 risk practice, FAANG infrastructure or security, hyperscaler PS, or a leading platform-engineering firm
• Multi-quarter engagement leadership at CISO, CIO, or CDO level inside regulated enterprises, with references
• Hands-on technical depth across AI gateways, identity, endpoint and SASE, cloud audit logging, data lake substrates, agent runtime, and policy engines
• AI-native daily practice as a 2 to 3x multiplier with receipts (we will ask)
• Working command of regulator vocabulary: SR 11-7, OSFI E-23, EU AI Act, FINOS AIGF, FDA PCCP, ISO 42001, BCBS 239, DORA
• Track record of contributing to revenue and scaling a delivery team under pressure

Bonus. Tier-1 D-SIB or top-10 pharma direct experience. Prior Principal or FDE at Anthropic, Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Pro Services, Microsoft Industry Solutions, or Big-4 risk. Speaker history at FINOS, RSAC, or re:Invent.

Logistics. Eligible to work in Canada. Toronto hybrid. 25 to 40 percent travel. ESOP eligible.
