Solutions Architect - Fastloop (Saint-Jérôme)

The Role

Fastloop builds AI systems that scale and this role is responsible for making sure they actually deliver.

As a Solution Architect, you are the bridge between business strategy and technology execution. You translate complex client challenges into clear, executable AI and Data solutions, staying accountable for outcomes long after the design is done.

You think in business problems first. AI and Technology is how you solve them. You'll lead client conversations at the executive level, define roadmaps that balance ambition with operational reality, navigate organizational complexity, and guide delivery teams through execution. You bring commercial acumen, strategic clarity, and enough technical depth to earn the trust of the people building what you design.

This role operates across the full engagement lifecycle, from initial discovery and pre-sales through to delivery leadership and value realization. Our clients range from mid‑market to large enterprise, and the complexity of their environments reflects that.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Discovery & Advisory

• Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder engagements to understand what clients are actually trying to achieve.
• Assess current‑state business processes, enterprise system landscapes, and technology environments.
• Develop future‑state recommendations with transparent business value, ROI, and risk framing.
• Facilitate design thinking and value stream sessions that align teams around a shared direction.

Solution Design

• Translate business requirements into scalable AI‑first architectures across Data, Analytics, Integration, and Application domains.
• Map end‑to‑end workflows and integration points across enterprise systems to identify where AI and automation create the most leverage.
• Define phased delivery roadmaps. Evaluate trade‑offs between cost, complexity, timeline, and business value — and work with the client and technical team to make the call.
• Ensure solutions are commercially viable, operationally sustainable, and built to last.

Delivery Leadership

• Act as Functional Lead on strategic engagements, working within Agile and structured delivery frameworks.
• Manage project outcomes and profitability while keeping teams aligned throughout implementation.
• Manage risks and dependencies before they become issues.
• Drive adoption and change management to ensure clients realize the value they signed up for.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build trusted advisor relationships across the client organization — from delivery teams to the C‑suite and board level.
• Facilitate executive presentations while navigate competing priorities, organizational complexity, and change resistance to drive consensus and momentum.
• Translate technical concepts into business language, and business strategy into delivery direction.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Provide guidance and leadership to Functional and Technical Consultants throughout engagements.
• Support the development of other team members.
• Contribute to Fastloop's delivery standards, methodologies, and practice capability.

Commercial Contribution

• Lead and support pre‑sales engagements, proposal development, RFPs, and SOW scoping, including writing clear, compelling proposal narratives that win work.
• Manage concurrent engagements without loss of quality or client confidence.
• Identify opportunities for account growth.
• Contribute to project health and margin management.

What You Bring

Leadership & Consulting Experience

• 7+ years in consulting, solution architecture, delivery leadership, or business transformation.
• Proven experience leading complex AI, Data, Analytics, Cloud, or Digital Transformation engagements across mid‑market and large enterprise clients.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to present and influence at C‑suite and board level.
• Experience facilitating executive workshops, steering committees, and cross‑functional delivery teams.
• Strong commercial writing skills — you can write a proposal narrative that tells a compelling story and wins a deal.
• Track record of connecting technology investment to measurable business outcomes.
• Experience leading organizational change and technology adoption initiatives.
• Industry experience in one or more of: Retail, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Resources, or Public Sector.

Delivery & Methodology

• Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) and scaled frameworks (SAFe).
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent).
• Experience applying design thinking, human‑centered design, or value stream mapping in discovery and solution shaping.
• Business analysis fundamentals — requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis.
• Experience mapping and redesigning end‑to‑end business processes and workflows across enterprise systems and organizational boundaries — identifying integration points, dependencies, and automation opportunities.
• Change management principles and adoption frameworks (Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent).

Enterprise Systems

• Understanding how large organizations actually run — and where their data lives — is essential to this role. You should have experience working with enterprise business systems and the ability to interpret end‑to‑end business logic, workflows, and data flows across complex system landscapes.
• Familiarity with platforms such as:
• ERP: SAP
• CRM: Salesforce
• Asset & Work Management: Maximo or equivalent EAM platforms
• Adjacent systems: HRMS, supply chain, procurement, or finance platforms. You don't need to be an implementation specialist in any of these — but you need to understand how they work, how data moves through them, and where AI can add the most value.

Integration Architecture

• API‑first design principles and RESTful/event‑driven architecture patterns.
• Pub/sub, streaming, and asynchronous integration concepts.
• ETL/ELT pipeline design and data movement patterns.
• Middleware and iPaaS concepts — understanding integration trade‑offs without being locked to any single platform.
• Experience designing integration strategies across heterogeneous enterprise environments.

AI & Agentic Systems — Our Core

• Generative AI solution design and productionization patterns.
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge architecture.
• Agentic AI systems and multi‑agent architectures.
• LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen).
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent integration patterns.
• Vector databases and semantic search infrastructure (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
• Human‑in‑the‑loop design and workflow automation with AI.
• Responsible AI — bias, explainability, compliance, and risk.

Google Cloud Platform

• Working knowledge across GCP is essential:
• Data & Analytics: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Looker, dbt, Dataplex.
• AI & ML: Vertex AI, Gemini, Agent Builder, Model Garden.
• Infrastructure & Integration: Cloud Run, GKE, Apigee, Eventarc, Cloud Composer.
• Broader working knowledge across modern data architecture, lakehouse patterns, analytics and BI, and adjacent platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.

Nice to Have

• Google Cloud Professional certification (Cloud Architect).
• Experience delivering AI governance frameworks or responsible AI policies.
• Exposure to AI‑native application design and experience layer architecture.
• Claude Certified Architect.
• Security and compliance awareness — data residency, SOC 2, enterprise security patterns, regulatory frameworks relevant to AI and data.
