Corporate Legal Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the legal team with a variety of administrative and client-focused tasks. Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting corporate searches and filings
  • Assisting with client billing and file management
  • Managing client intake, including conflict searches and drafting engagement letters and routine correspondence
  • Supporting practice management initiatives, including monthly billing and adherence to firm best practices
  • Coordinating administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and client meetings
  • Responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, managing follow-ups, and keeping lawyers informed of client interactions
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring accurate handling of all internal and external communications

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant legal assistant experience preferred
  • Experience with NetDocuments and Soluno would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate considered an asset

Compensation

  • Approximately $60,000 – $70,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Group RRSP, medical benefits package, and wellness program available after completion of three months

Work Environment

  • In-office position
