Barista/Cashier

Brew Your Career at Cypress Mountain! We’re looking for enthusiastic Baristas to join our team and help create a warm, inviting atmosphere for our guests. Whether you’re crafting the perfect espresso or providing exceptional customer service, you’ll play an important role in delivering an outstanding coffee experience. 

*Shift hours flucuate from 7:45am through 7:30pm. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following) :

·          Greet guests with a warm and friendly and approachable attitude, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

·          Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, hot chocolate, cold beverages, and food items, ensuring quality and consistency with every order.

·          Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive, enjoyable experience.

·          Maintain clear communication with both guests and team members to ensure prompt service, order accuracy, and a smooth workflow.

·          Ensure consistency in food and beverage preparation, managing stock levels to guarantee availability of the full menu at all times.

·          Rotate and restock inventory, keeping track of products that need to be ordered and collaborating with the team to maintain stock levels.

·          Operate the POS terminal efficiently, ensuring accurate and fast transactions.

·          Follow food safety protocols, including proper cleaning, temperature monitoring, and safe food storage practices.

·          Open and close the food service outlet, completing necessary start-of-day and end-of-day tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

·          Strong customer service skills, with the ability to create memorable experiences for every guest.

·          Approachable, dependable, and a strong team player, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

·          Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, maintaining efficiency and attention to detail during busy shifts.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

·          Must be able to legally work in Canada

·          Food Safe Level 1

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

·       1+ years previous barista experience in a high-volume café.

·       High School or equivalent.

WAGE/BENEFITS:

·          Wage: $18.60/hour + tips
