Are you an organized and proactive professional with a knack for logistics? Right Service Right Choice is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator to join our growing transportation team! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where communication and efficiency are key.
About the Role
The Dispatch Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient scheduling of shipments and driver assignments. You'll be responsible for dispatching drivers, coordinating routes, maintaining schedules, and resolving issues in real-time to ensure our customers receive outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries across various routes.
- Monitor routes and communicate with drivers to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
- Use dispatch and transportation management software to track and update shipment status.
- Coordinate with customers, warehouse staff, and drivers to handle special requests or resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery times, delays, and any incidents.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and internal policies.
- Assist with planning driver shifts and maintaining up-to-date availability logs.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or logistics.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with dispatch software (e.g., Axon, Fleet Complete, Load Link, or similar).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Knowledge of DOT and transportation regulations is an asset.
