Part time medical office administrator

Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Part time Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Must be available to work afternoons, evenings and every Saturdays

Direct bill to most insurance companies

Answer phones and direct calls

Organize and schedule appointments

Create and maintain filing, both electronic and paper

Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

Provide general support to administrators

Greet clients and assist them accordingly

Provide information by answering questions and requests

Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.

Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

Reply to email, telephone or face to face inquiries

Resolve administrative problems

Photocopy, scan and print out documents

Office Cleaning, laundry, and restocking supplies

Flexible to cover vacation or sick days for other administrators

Experience:- Proven experience in an administrative role within a medical office setting is preferred.- Proficiency in Excel and word is a plus.- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Successful completion of a college diploma preferably in the field of Medical Office or Business Administration from an accredited educational institution in CANADA.

Minimum of (1) years of related experience preferably working within a medical clinic environment.
