What you'll do?- Lead on the modernization and optimization efforts of CNSC's regulatory framework program, including leading and implementing the Regulatory Framework Modernization Strategy and project managing the associated 2-year action plan.
- Collaborating with other government departments in support of TBS' modernization agenda, project manage the coordination of regulatory cooperation and regulatory and legislative reviews and lead on corporate and regulatory reporting obligations.
- In support of modernization initiatives, lead, identify and coordinate the development of policies, procedures, processes and workflows.
- Support the modernization of the CNSC's consultation approach.
- Lead modernization efforts of the Navigator, CNSC's management system.
Languages: Bilingual imperative with a proficiency at BBB level.
Experience: - Leading and managing organizational-wide projects and initiatives, including writing briefing notes, developing project plans and delegating work.
- Project management principles and delivery models, including the development of project scope, plans, benefits realization, change management plans and reporting.
- Briefing senior management (Director General and above) in writing and/or through presentation.
- Establishing and/or maintaining programs and frameworks, including implementing new tools and managing contracts and budget.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Change management experience.
Education: Completion of appropriate post-secondary education at a recognized institution, combined with extensive experience in project management, policy analysis, policy program management and development, or a relevant combination of education, experience and job knowledge. Essential Skills: Knowledge of:
- Government of Canada regulatory context.
- CNSC's regulatory framework.
- Project management practices. Ability to:
- Lead projects with regular briefings, reports on progress and status and communicate tangible results.
- Identify and address operational gaps, inefficiencies, and challenges with innovative yet practical solutions.
- Proven ability to adopt and integrate AI tools to improve workflows, capacity and drive innovation. Key Competencies
