Responsibilities

Tasks

Consult with family of deceased regarding funeral and related services
Embalm remains
Inform survivors of benefits
Perform restorative work
Perform cosmetic work on remains
Preserve, sanitize and prepare human remains for funeral services
Plan and schedule funeral services
Co-ordinate burials and cremations
Complete legal documentation
Pre-arrange funerals
Arrange for transfer of remains from place of death to funeral home
