Telus Engineering Manager For Data Operations Toronto

Lead TELUS's data operational transformation as the Engineering Manager for Data Operations, focusing on data ingestion across diverse business units. Be the engineering leader who makes a difference. This full‑time position allows you to consolidate GCP deployments while owning the critical reliability and quality of production data pipelines. You will directly impact TELUS Health, Digital, and Agriculture, driving a cross‑functional engineering team to eliminate silos and establish best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality and uptime of ingestion systems
- Lead the design of SRE functions on GCP
- Eliminate manual checks with automations
- Build a capable team through cross‑training
- Enforce best practices in cloud operations
Requirements
- Background in data engineering with hands‑on experience
- At least 3 years managing technical groups of 8+
- Deep understanding of streaming data technologies
- Successful history in operational and technical transitions
- Solid communicator for bridging technical gaps
