About the Role The Associate Director, UGME Curriculum Administration, provides effective operational leadership for the planning and delivery of Years 2 and 3 of the Medical School Undergraduate Program (UGME), including immersive clinical placements, longitudinal family medicine experiences, and elective rotations across the Fraser Health region. The role designs, implements and continuously refines the systems, processes and workflows required to deliver a high‑quality, accreditation‑aligned curriculum across multiple clinical sites. The Associate Director leads the operational interface between the School of Medicine and clinical partners, ensures placement readiness and consistent learner experience across sites, and works collaboratively with faculty, staff and external partners to align clinical learning experiences with curricular objectives, competency‑based education principles, and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

Master's degree in education, health administration or other relevant discipline and five years of experience in program administration within a medical education environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge of undergraduate medical education program structures, accreditation requirements (including CACMS standards), and the regulatory and operational context of medical training in Canada.

Excellent program and project management skills, including planning, scheduling and managing complex operations across multiple sites and partners.

Excellent partnership‑building and negotiation skills, particularly in working with clinical partners, health authorities, and community organizations.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively across academic, clinical, administrative and community audiences.

Ability to work effectively in a complex, evolving environment with multiple partners and competing priorities.
