What we offer :

• Competitive salary starting at $20.72/hour with salary increases based on months worked ( $22.90/hour after 3-12 months, $25.08/hour after 12-24 months, $26.17/hour after 25-35 months, and $27.25/hour after 36+ months).
• Evening premium of $1.00/h, if applicable for this position;

Main Responsibilities:

• Pull inventory according to order specifications;
• Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place rebar within the production
• plant facility;
• Calculate crane capacity and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting;
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes;
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness by always wearing personal protective equipment, safely performing duties and continually maintaining a clean and safe work area;
• Assist other machine operators, forklift operators, and workers with various duties involving the physical handling of products, materials, and equipment when required, or as directed;
• Perform pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting;
• Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials;
• Check and complete all necessary paperwork;
• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuring proper handling and placement;
• Clean machines and work areas
• Other duties as assigned

About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing;
• Experience in operating an overhead crane;
• Basic math/measurement skills (an asset);
• Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment;
• Ability to work physically - lift/move up to 50lbs;
• Willingness and capacity to work outside in varying weather conditions, and perform physical work;
• Good communication skills, Multi-tasking and a strong capacity for teamwork.
